Sweet Victory

* "Sweet Victory" is a promotional nude version of "Victory"  taken from the sessions for the forthcoming Deviant Art series Stranger II

I don’t usually talk about the meaning behind my paintings. The first reason is, I’m painfully shy. The second is, I’d like for the viewer to formulate their own meaning in my work.

Nevertheless, in general, most would view this painting and simply assume that I had some kind of perverted dream about a voluptuous blonde girl winning a nude field race (which shouldn’t be discounted. ) but in actuality, the real concept and symbolism behind this painting came about while I was trying to come up with an idea for me and my good friend G’s little art dual contest, (see link fav.me/d58s134 for full “art dual” story). And of course, our tremendous love for running immediately came to my mind.

Unfortunately, in recent times, the both of us have been experiencing some awful knee injuries. So this one’s dedicated to quick recoveries and me winning the art contest, of course.
