* Sophia is based on characters from the 1963 film, Ieri, Oggi, Domani directed by Vittorio De Sica. ** Okay, I took a slight detour in the studio last night while putting some finishing touches on my forthcoming series, The Stranger to pay a little tribute to cinemas most beautiful brunette, the legendary Mrs. Sophia Loren. The inspiration came directly from some heavy (haha) conversation between my good friend and fellow color pencil artist Ricardo Anyway, I tried my best do my portrait of Sophia in Ricardos classic clean minimalist style, but I couldnt quite get it right, so after a couple of horrid attempts, I just went with what I know best, my usual OD style. |
